J&I Farming kids club is an extra activity of J&I farm. We strongly believe that kids are the future of any nation. Having the privileges and the opportunities to put kids on the right path will definitely positively affect Haiti. Proverbs 22:6 says that “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it”. With fear of the worst scenario, Gangs in the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince and provinces are rounding up homeless and at-risk teens, who are increasingly being used as foot soldiers in gang wars that have forced schools to close and engulfed neighborhoods.

To reinforce our mission which is “FEED, EQUIP and TRANSFORM”, we want to start with 15 kids (boys and girls). We target kid’s form 9-14 of age. These kids will be selected in local churches and schools.

Main goals:

1.      Teach them to know God and grow in relationship with HIM to keep them away from bad influences.

2.      Teach them basic values of earning money from working not from dishonest actions.

3.      Assist them with food, clothing and tuition.

The main activities are:

1.    Meet with them every Saturday.

2.    Offer a snack and a hot meal on every Saturday.

3.    Teach them the bible and farming lessons.

4.    Make them practice farming at the farm to boost the desire in them to work.

5.    Give a $5 every Saturday that the can cover something to eat on school days.

6.    If possible helping them with their tuition fees.
